Barloworld Supply Chain Software has developed CAST Aurora -
Next Generation Network Optimisation to help your business maintain
competitive advantage in supply chain modelling.
Developed in state-of-the-art 3 tier architecture, CAST Aurora
facilitates bigger, faster and more complex supply chain models. A
simple and intuitive map driven model building interface permits
easy and rapid model building.
CAST Aurora's ground breaking Multi-time period optimisation
functionality enables users to:
- • Optimise & identify the network implementation plan
- • Permit stock build optimisation in response to
seasonality
- • Permit tactical sizing of the network resources overtime
(warehouses, manpower, trucks, ships, etc.)
CAST Aurora is available now to:
- • Help you identify greater supply chain cost savings
- • Permit you to engage with your supply chain strategically
& tactically on an ongoing basis
- • Enable continuous network improvement
As a CAST user you need to know the benefits CAST Aurora can
bring to your operation and understand how to optimise your supply
chain network overtime.
We are pleased to invite you to join the latest CAST
Aurora training programme, designed to give you the
answers for your network modelling requirements.

The CAST Aurora training course is a 5 day course which is split
into two parts ie Part One focuses on Single time period modelling
and Part Two Multi time periods.
You must complete Part One before attending Part Two. Part
Two can be completed after Part One provided a course is planned or
a trainer is available.
The full course is designed for planners and managers who are
about to use CAST Aurora and wish to fully explore the power of
optimising the network model across multiple time periods and who
have experience of planning and analysing distribution networks,
preferably from an appropriate supply chain background - with
computing and data manipulation skills (basic PC - Windows - and
spreadsheet skills).

CAST Aurora Part One training course is the starting point for
all users. Part One is a three-day course which seeks to take the
delegate through all the key areas of CAST Aurora functionality so
that the individual feels confident to build their own supply chain
models. The course builds up a network model from first principles
using a step-by-step approach such that by the end of the course
students should be able to develop a model of a distribution
network in a single time period environment using CAST Aurora, and
test alternative strategies against that model.

This course has been designed for users who have previously
attended the CAST Aurora Part One training course.
CAST Aurora Part Two training course is a two-day course which
develops upon the concepts introduced in the CAST Aurora Part One
training. This course focuses on the new options available within
CAST Aurora to optimise the network across multiple time periods,
whilst taking account of a variety of different constraints that
can be imposed on the network model. Delegates will work through a
series of exercises that demonstrate a seasonal business, a
migration plan, building inventory, profit maximisation, expanding
storage capacity and introducing additional production shifts for a
multi-level Bill of Materials scenario.
